new obsession
11th-Jun-2006 10:49 pm
α Mira, Mira
I feel the need to share my newest obsession, and yes, I'm probably the last to jump on this bandwagon. Yes, I know I'm probably the last person to start going OMG! SQUEE! over Doctor Who. Oh, well. In celebration of my new obsession, I present the story of the Ninth Doctor, Rose, and Captain Jack, as told by jeanne_dark.

Once upon a time...

PS - Don't worry, this won't keep me from my SGA and Firefly fics. I'll just have to write more. Oh, damn. *grin*

ahhhhahahahaha that was great. I love Dr. Who! At first I couldn't believe I would like it.... and now I am ... omg I have to see it! British TV is evil that way.

What I love is none of those kisses are manips! *guh* Just when I think "they won't go there...", they do. Even after being raised on the original Doctor Who, Monty Python, and Are You Being Served, the culture differences still amaze me (in a good way).

ah yes, that is fabulous....

it's too bad we won't get a ten/jack kiss... *drool*

(not that I don't love you nine.... I love you) ....heh....

I have it sitting on the DVR right now since I can't bear to delete it yet. I'll definitely have to download it. Thanks for the heads up.

At least Jack will be getting his own series - "Captain Jack Harkness, the bisexual former Time Agent and con man from the 51st century last seen traveling with the Doctor, the last remaining Time Lord, ventures to 21st century Cardiff. There, he becomes a member of Torchwood Institute, a renegade criminal investigation group founded by Queen Victoria to battle hostile extraterrestrial and supernatural threats."

Admittedly "bisexual" and "Queen Victoria" should probably never appear in the same paragraph, but hey, it's Jack. *grin* And "bisexual" doesn't begin to describe Jack, it should be more like "the man who will shag anything that walks".

ah i know.. i was a bit wiggy at first about how flamboyant and whorish he was as a bisexual, but he won me over for just being so matter of fact about it. Normally I'd be all offended that they were equating bisexuality and whorishness.... *shrugs* I'm so easily won over.

have you seen any of season 2? I didn't think i was going to like this new guy because I'm not that into television and i haven't had any in a long time so i had no idea who he was beyond that he played barty crouch ....

seriously though... his first episode won me over. fightin hand! heh... sorry.... I'm blathering.

I've got this insane urge to re-watch all the dr. who I watched when i was growing up. obsession has definitely set in.

I haven't seen anything other than stills of season 2. I'm having a hard time with Barty Crouch Jr. as the Tenth Doctor. My mind simply goes "The Doctor, Time Lord and Death Eater".

ahh haha yeah. Well I couldn't wait for the sci-fi channel to broadcast things (also because when at home i have no tv to speak of..) so i watched what they have of season 2 on YouTube. I like him....he's different.... and much more attractive when he's not barty. heh.
